Chicken Enclosure
Our custom-built chicken enclosure combines practicality with permaculture principles. Framed by a sturdy arched cattle panel trellis and secured with a handmade access door, the space allows our flock to roam safely while contributing to soil health and garden maintenance. Designed for easy human access and predator protection, it’s a functional example of sustainable backyard integration.

Flowers
Our wildflower and sunflower zone is more than just beautiful—it’s a thriving pollinator haven. Planted with native and self-seeding varieties, this low-maintenance habitat supports bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects while adding vibrant color and seasonal interest to the landscape. The sunflowers serve double-duty as natural trellises, bird feeders, and windbreaks, reinforcing our commitment to biodiversity and regenerative design.

Pollinator Communities
Throughout the yard, we've created layered microhabitats to support pollinators and other beneficial species. Flowering vines climb arched trellises and fences, offering vertical forage and shelter. Tucked-away wood piles serve as nesting sites for native bees, lizards, and decomposers. Every planting choice, from flowering herbs to host-specific natives, is part of an intentional system designed to restore ecological balance and encourage year-round biodiversity.

Garden Infrastructure
Our garden is supported by a well-planned infrastructure that makes sustainable growing both efficient and scalable. A large shed provides secure storage for tools, seeds, and supplies. Multiple water sources, including rainwater collection points and in-ground sprinkler systems, ensure reliable hydration across planting zones. Our dual-bin compost system efficiently processes food and garden waste into rich soil amendments, completing the nutrient loop and reducing outside inputs.

Perennial Vines
Our perennial vines add vertical abundance, seasonal fragrance, and edible rewards to the landscape. Grapevines climb sturdy trellises, offering late-summer harvests and deep summer shade. Passionfruit sprawls along fences, producing exotic blooms and sweet-tart fruit with minimal effort. Confederate jasmine fills the air with its unmistakable scent each spring. Together, these hardy climbers provide habitat, privacy, and beauty, all with perennial reliability.

Food Products
Nearly everything we grow finds its way into our kitchen. From spring greens to winter squash, the garden feeds us year-round—often making its way to the plate the same day it’s picked. We preserve the harvest through small-batch jams, jellies, hot sauces, salsas, chutneys, and pickles, capturing seasonal flavor at its peak. Every jar reflects the land it came from and the care that went into growing it.
